The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Hualapai Tribe, announced on Apr. 6 that it will hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 16 to gather community feedback regarding the preservation and future use of the historic Osterman/Shell Gas Station located on Route 66 in Peach Springs.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to document current conditions and develop a Conceptual Design Report for the gas station. This report aims to guide future preservation efforts and adaptive reuse plans for the site, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The meeting will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Peach Springs Multi-Purpose Building at 470 Hualapai Way. The session will feature an open house, presentation, and question-and-answer period. Community members can also submit comments by email, phone, or mail from April 7 through April 23. Meeting materials will be available online starting Friday, April 17 at azdot.gov/Osterman-Peach-Springs.
