The Arizona Corporation Commission has ordered Lisa Anne Boisselle and LABI Investments LLC, operating as Wealthwise, to pay $1,398,900 in restitution and $75,000 in administrative penalties for securities fraud. According to the Commission, Boisselle served as President, Owner, and Chief Compliance Officer of Wealthwise until February 2022.
In 2021, Boisselle began soliciting clients to invest in two cryptocurrency programs: NovaTech and HyperFund (also known as HyperVerse). Between November 2021 and April 2023, she raised nearly $1.4 million from at least 16 clients for these investments. The Commission found that Boisselle assured some investors their funds were safe and could be withdrawn at any time, with the expectation that the principal would grow over time.
However, starting in August 2022, both domestic and foreign regulators issued warnings and took legal actions against NovaTech. The Commission stated that Boisselle did not disclose these regulatory actions to her investors.
“The Commission ordered Boisselle and Wealthwise, and any of their agents to permanently cease and desist from violating the Securities Act and Investment Management Act.”
Boisselle and Wealthwise did not request a hearing or submit an answer regarding the allegations.
