The Arizona Corporation Commission announced on April 3 that it will host a Summer Preparedness Workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The event is set to take place at Hearing Room One, located at 1200 W. Washington St., Phoenix, with proceedings beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The annual workshop is intended to allow state utility providers to present their plans for meeting peak electricity demand during the high temperatures of the summer months. The commission said this process helps ensure utilities are proactive in maintaining the power grid and keeping infrastructure safe and reliable throughout the year.
According to the announcement, members of the public can attend in person or participate virtually via a provided Webex link or by dialing in by phone. There will also be an online livestream available for those who wish to watch remotely.
All documents related to the workshop can be accessed through the commission’s eDocket system by entering Docket No. AU-99999A-26-0010.
The commission’s ongoing focus on preparedness comes as Arizona continues to experience extreme heat during summer months, making reliability and safety of utility services a key concern.
