The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) has received $465,682 in grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) for the federal fiscal year 2026, covering October 2025 through September 2026. The grant aims to support Operational Communications and Crime Lab personnel across the state.

According to AZDPS, the funding will also enhance the efforts of the Highway Patrol Division (HPD) to lower fatal and injury crashes. This will be achieved through increased enforcement and targeted traffic safety programs conducted throughout the year.

In a statement, AZDPS said it is “committed to promoting public and roadway safety through aggressive and consistent proactive enforcement.” The grant from AZGOHS is allocated to various initiatives focused on improving highway safety in Arizona.
