The Arizona Department of Transportation announced on April 28 that a ten-mile stretch of State Route 72 through Bouse has received new surface asphalt, guardrails, and other upgrades following an $8.8 million improvement project.
The project began last August and involved milling and replacing the existing pavement between mileposts 20 and 30. In addition to new guardrails and end terminals, crews installed fencing, signage, and pavement markings as part of the rehabilitation effort. The department said these improvements benefit residents in the area as well as others who use SR 72, which connects US 60 near Vicksburg with State Route 95 south of Parker. The work also supports ADOT’s commitment to maintaining highway infrastructure.
