Arizona legislators are requesting the decertification of the presidential election results.
State Rep. Anthony Kern (R-Glendale) and State Rep. Walter Blackman (R-Snowflake) are both in agreement that the Nov. 3 election was troubled.
“I believe that America is on a precipice [and that the] 2020 election has been stolen,” Kern reportedly said at a recent meeting.
In Arizona, Joe Biden was certified as the winner with a margin of 10,457 votes.
Blackman joined in Kern’s thoughts.
“This isn’t about President Trump. This is about a true and transparent election,” Blackman said.
The state Republican party recently appealed to the Arizona Supreme Court in its efforts to bring light to reported irregularities in ballots and voting machines.
House Speaker Rusty Bowers has faced intra-party criticism for not pushing the topic more.
A campaign also recently arose on Twitter to lobby state legislators to voice opposition to the election outcome.
“I definitely support the president; it’s not just about one man. This is about the integrity of our electoral process, not just in Arizona, but in the United States of America, and if we lose this today, we will lose it forever,” Pam Kirby, the 1st vice-chair of the Arizona GOP said.
A group of Republicans earlier voiced their support for decertification of the vote.
