The Republican Party of Arizona (AZGOP) and the Republican National Committee (RNC) have filed a lawsuit against the state of Arizona, contesting a law that permits individuals who have never lived in the United States to register to vote.

Gina Swoboda, Chairwoman of the AZGOP, stated, “Arizona’s elections must be decided by the people who call this state home, not non-residents. This lawsuit defends the integrity of our elections and the constitutional rights of every lawful voter.”

This action is part of broader national efforts aimed at election security. The AZGOP emphasized its ongoing commitment to maintaining election integrity and protecting what it describes as fundamental voting rights for Arizonans.

“AZGOP will continue to lead the fight to protect election integrity and safeguard Arizona’s future,” according to the party’s statement.
