The Arizona Republican Party announced on Mar. 13 the formation of a new fundraising committee, with Chairman Sergio Arellano naming several prominent figures to lead efforts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The announcement comes as Republican fundraising committees across the country are reporting record-breaking totals, highlighting the importance of financial support in upcoming electoral contests. The party seeks to strengthen its position by engaging experienced leaders and encouraging community participation through events and resources aimed at promoting voter engagement and conservative values, according to the official website.

Arellano said he is grateful to Committee Co-Chairs Mayor Jason Beck and Karrin Taylor Robson, along with Bruce Ash, Speaker of the House Steve Montenegro, and Don Tapia for their willingness to lead. “I deliberately reached out to Mayor Jason Beck, Karrin Taylor Robson, former RNC Committeeman Bruce Ash, Speaker of the House Steve Montenegro, and Don Tapia because of their dedication to our conservative principles and tireless work on behalf of the Republican Party and our candidates over the years,” said Arellano. “Each of these individuals have won the admiration of Republican Party members and my thanks for their selfless service and leadership. I am so proud of them and grateful to them for agreeing to continue their service to our Party.”

Arellano also thanked former Fundraising Chair Elijah Norton for his past contributions: “Elijah has been a selfless contributor and stalwart supporter of the conservative cause.”

The newly appointed committee members bring diverse backgrounds in public service, business leadership, legislative experience, philanthropy, and political activism. Their combined expertise is expected to support the party’s goals as it seeks to elect conservative leaders while advocating for equality, freedom, limited government, a strong economy, national defense, quality education, constitutional rights, healthcare reform, and community engagement according to the official website.

The Arizona Republican Party operates as a political organization focused on conservative principles with its headquarters in Phoenix. It offers resources such as newsletter subscriptions and action alerts to support community involvement and voter engagement according to information from its official website.

Gina Swoboda has previously held the position of chairwoman for the Arizona Republican Party according to information from its official website.

Looking ahead toward November’s elections, Arellano said: “With this great team in place, I feel confident that we will break fundraising records as well as the radical Democratic Party’s will.”
