Chairwoman Gina Swoboda and members of the Arizona Republican Party met in Phoenix to cast Arizona’s 11 electoral votes for President-Elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-Elect J.D. Vance. The event included participation from party officials, local leaders, business figures, and former elected representatives.

According to the Arizona Republican Party, their coordinated efforts with the Trump campaign aimed to reach voters across the state and contributed to what they described as a historic win for Trump in Arizona. Chairwoman Swoboda stated, “Today, Arizona’s 11 electors proudly cast their votes for President Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance.” She added that “The voters of Arizona have made their voices loud and clear, delivering President Trump a decisive victory of over 187,000 votes, a 5.5% margin, the largest of any battleground state.”

Swoboda also said that “President Trump also secured a win in the popular vote, demonstrating the incredible mandate the American people have given him to lead us back to common sense, security, prosperity, and liberty.” She highlighted the role of the Electoral College process: “As the Electoral College cast their votes today, we are reminded of the genius of our founders, who ensured that the entire country, not just population centers, would have a voice in electing our President.”

Other participants offered statements about their involvement as electors or supporters during this process. Former AZGOP Vice Chairman Nathan Jackson said: “It is an honor and a privilege to proudly serve as a representative for Americans across the great state of Arizona — the home of trailblazers like Sandra Day O’Connor, Frank Luke Jr., and Barry Goldwater.” He referenced recent events involving President Trump: “When President Trump was shot, he got back up and yelled ‘Fight!’ — a powerful display of strength… In that moment… he proved he’s willing to take a bullet for our country.”

Abegal Gonzalez noted her experience as an elector: “It is a great honor and a deeply humbling experience to serve as the youngest presidential elector for the state of Arizona in support of President Donald J. Trump… I am especially grateful for the opportunity to represent my community and this great state in such an important process.”

Santa Cruz GOP County Chair Steven R. McEwen remarked on his dual roles: “It is with great honor that I have had the opportunity to work as a Deputy Director of Elections in Arizona… now being appointed to be an elector for President Donald J. Trump and preserving our electoral process…”

Former Vice President of Navajo Nation Myron Lizer (with Dottie Lizer) commented on Native American voter turnout: “As such it is doubly our honor to represent the 65% of Native Americans who voted in the recent presidential election for change… We cast our ballots for President Donald J. Trump!”

Navajo County GOP Chair Lisa Green said: “President Trump has put up with years of negativity and continues to work for American people,” adding she was honored by her role.

State Committeeman Robert Swoboda stated: “I am so proud and filled with gratitude to be able to cast my electoral vote…” Pinal County GOP Chair Belinda Rodriguez added: “Under President Trump and J.D. Vance’s leadership America is on path being restored…”

The certification comes after official results showed Donald Trump winning Arizona by more than five percentage points—a margin greater than those seen in other battleground states during this election cycle.
