This afternoon, the Arizona Republican Party responded to Vice President Kamala Harris’s interview with Bret Baier on Fox News. The party criticized Harris for her answers regarding border security, public safety, and the economy.

Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Gina Swoboda released a statement following the interview. “Kamala Harris’s performance during her Fox News interview was a disaster, filled with distortions and a complete lack of accountability. She thinks she can dodge responsibility for her failed policies, but Arizonans — and the American people — see right through her. Our communities are suffering under record illegal crossings, an economic crisis driven by out-of-control government spending, and deadly fentanyl flooding our streets. Harris can’t rewrite history, no matter how much she tries.”

The party outlined several areas where it believes Harris’s policies have failed. On border security, they pointed to an increase in illegal border crossings since the Biden administration took office. They also cited policy changes such as ending the Remain in Mexico program and stopping construction of the border wall as contributing factors.

Regarding the economy, the party referenced criticism from some experts who have linked the $1.9 trillion stimulus package to rising inflation rates. According to their statement, Americans are paying significantly more each month for goods and services compared to when Harris and President Biden began their terms.

On public safety issues, the party claimed that policies under Harris’s leadership as California Attorney General and Vice President led to the release of individuals with serious criminal convictions.

The Arizona Republican Party also addressed concerns about fentanyl in Arizona communities. They argued that insufficient action on border security has contributed to increased drug trafficking in the state.

The party concluded its response by stating that Arizonans need leadership focused on improving border security, economic conditions, and public safety.
