Brewer Science, Inc., a company specializing in materials and processes for the microelectronics and optoelectronics industries, has opened a new office and laboratory in Chandler, Arizona. The facility, named the Brewer Science Arizona Innovation Center, is intended to strengthen the company’s connections with customers, partners, and research collaborators in the region.

“This new office and lab bring us closer to the heart of the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem,” said Rama Puligadda, Chief Technology Officer at Brewer Science. “The proximity to our customers and partners will streamline our research collaborations and accelerate delivery of advanced materials that meet the rigorous demands of next-generation devices and support our U.S. semiconductor supply chain.”

The center will function as both a collaborative research space and a hub for customer engagement. It aims to speed up product development by shortening the feedback cycle between laboratory work and manufacturing. Brewer Science conducts all its research and manufacturing operations within the United States.

“The Chandler, Arizona area is a growing hub of semiconductor innovation, and we’re excited to collaborate with the talented professionals driving that momentum,” said Dan Brewer, co-CEO at Brewer Science. “This expansion allows us to pair their expertise with Brewer Science’s award-winning culture to accelerate meaningful technological advancements together.”

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), commented on Brewer Science’s ongoing role in Arizona’s technology sector: “Brewer Science has long been a valued partner in Arizona’s innovation ecosystem, including through their leadership on the Science Foundation Arizona board. This new Innovation Center in Chandler reinforces Arizona’s position as North America’s premier hub for semiconductor R&D and reflects our shared commitment to advancing next-generation technologies.”

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke also welcomed the expansion: “We are excited to welcome Brewer Science’s expansion to our business community. It is global leaders in developing and manufacturing next-generation materials and processes, like Brewer Science, that make Chandler a community of innovation and a thriving hub for the semiconductor industry.”

Arizona has seen significant growth in economic development efforts led by organizations such as ACA. In Fiscal Year 2022 alone, these efforts resulted in a record number of projected jobs—24,186—and $10.75 billion invested into local communities according to ACA reports (https://www.azcommerce.com/news-events/news/2022/9/more-jobs-than-ever-before-arizona-economic-development-sets-record-again/).

The new facility is located at 145 S. 79th St., Chandler, AZ 85226. With this addition—one among eleven offices worldwide—Brewer Science continues its mission of providing innovative materials while supporting advancements in semiconductor technology.
