The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona announced on May 1 that it is accepting final written comments regarding proposed amendments to Local Bankruptcy Rules 2084-9, 2084-10, 2084-11, and 2084-12. Comments or suggested edits must be submitted in writing by May 6.
This request for public input follows the court’s earlier publication of the proposed rule changes on April 3. The court said that unless there are substantive objections, these amendments are expected to take effect on May 11.
A correction notice was also issued regarding clerical errors found in the originally posted versions of Local Rules 2084-10 and 2084-11. The court stated that corrected clean and redline versions are now available for review. In addition, the Chapter 13 Form Plan has been amended to align with the new proposals; both clean and redline versions have been provided.
The full text of all proposed amendments and related materials can be accessed through documents made available by the court. Those interested in submitting feedback should send their comments to local_rules@azb.uscourts.gov before the deadline.
These changes may affect how bankruptcy cases are processed under Chapter 13 in Arizona, reflecting ongoing efforts by the court to update procedures and forms.
