Dark Sky Brewing Co. has announced its inaugural Dark Sky Music and Art Festival, which will feature live music, art, craft beer, and the debut of its “Drafted Downtown” collaboration with Downtown Flagstaff.
According to Dark Sky Brewing Co., the festival is a free two-day event for guests aged 21 and older, scheduled for August 15–16 at its Beer Garden Patio in Flagstaff, Arizona. The festival will include continuous live music from bands and DJs such as Pilcrow, Sleep Stampede, Amigo Diablo, and Futurist. An art market will showcase vendors like Wicked Warthog Candles, Rachel Richardson Jewelry, and Ghost Wax Records. Food will be provided by Atmosphere Kitchen alongside a variety of craft beers on tap. The event will also introduce “Drafted Downtown,” a West Coast IPA brewed with Citra hops in collaboration with Downtown Flagstaff. A portion of the proceeds from this beer will benefit efforts to preserve and promote Historic Downtown Flagstaff.
The beer will be available on draft at both Dark Sky Brewing taprooms, select local bars, and in cans to-go. Festivalgoers can enjoy performances while browsing artisan goods, with seating available on a first-come basis. The schedule runs from 4–10 p.m. on Friday and noon–10 p.m. on Saturday. According to Dark Sky Brewing Co., the event coincides with the Flagstaff International Film Festival held nearby at the Orpheum and Theatrikos Theatre, making it part of a weekend of arts and entertainment in the city’s historic downtown.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating and experience the music, art, and summer weather in Arizona’s high country. Located at 103 W. Birch Ave., the Beer Garden Patio will serve as the central venue offering a mix of local culture, craft beer, and community gathering.
Founded in 2014 by Flagstaff locals Larami and Ryan Sandlin, Dark Sky Brewing Co. operates two adjacent locations in downtown Flagstaff—a 21+ beer garden featuring food from Atmosphere Kitchen and a family-friendly taproom with pizza from Pizzicletta. The brewery produces a rotating selection of craft beers and distributes nine core canned varieties across Arizona and southwestern Colorado. Originally launched as a small-scale brewery, the company has since expanded to meet demand while supporting local causes through its nonprofit organization, The Dark Sky Community.
