DSV has begun construction on its new Arizona regional headquarters in Mesa, with a $14.5 million investment into a 950,000-square-foot facility. The site is expected to serve as a hub for DSV customers and will bring together the company’s air, sea, road transport, and contract logistics services under one roof. At full capacity, the facility plans to employ approximately 160 people.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held at 9560 E. Pecos Rd. in Mesa and was attended by executives from DSV, their partners, and leaders from the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), and City of Mesa.

“We’ve watched Arizona’s incredible growth in manufacturing and distribution, and we’re building this facility to support that momentum,” said Josh Summers, CEO of DSV Contract Logistics North America. “Arizona is the perfect place to continue our own growth and forge connections that will shape the future of supply chain management across multiple industries.”

The new regional headquarters marks an expansion for DSV in the southwestern United States. Its location offers close access to Mesa Gateway Airport and major transportation routes, providing proximity to key semiconductor manufacturers in the region.

“Arizona’s rapid economic growth and leadership in advanced industries are driving our leadership as a premier logistics hub,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We are excited DSV is expanding its Arizona presence with its new regional headquarters, showcasing our attractiveness for headquarters projects while strengthening our supply chain and supporting our thriving semiconductor industry.”

Christine Mackay, President and CEO of GPEC, added: “The collaborative opportunities between DSV and Gateway open the door for increased transcontinental trade taking place within Greater Phoenix. Situated within a major U.S. hub for advanced manufacturing with access to transportation connectivity around the globe, DSV is primed to grow hand-in-hand with Mesa and Greater Phoenix.”

Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman commented: “This new DSV facility represents a significant addition to Mesa’s growing technology corridor and strengthens our position in the semiconductor supply chain. By bringing multiple logistics divisions under one roof in our city, DSV is creating valuable jobs and supporting the continued economic growth of our region.”

Mesa Vice Mayor Scott Somers also noted: “DSV’s investment in a new 950,000-square-foot facility in southeast Mesa is a major vote of confidence in our region’s growing role in the domestic semiconductor supply chain. Mesa has made intentional investments in infrastructure and education to support the type of high-value job growth that DSV will bring to our community.”

The planned facility will include modern technology features as well as sustainable design elements such as solar panels. When complete—expected by early 2027—it will consolidate operations into one site for improved efficiency.

Arizona has recently set records for job creation due to ongoing economic development efforts by organizations like ACA; according to data announced in September 2022, over 24,000 projected jobs were created statewide during Fiscal Year 2022—far exceeding previous goals.
