FOIA Request to Dine College regarding Public University FY 2024 Employee Salaries on December 5, 2025.

The Grand Canyon Times has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Dine College, seeking detailed records on employee compensation for the fiscal year 2024. The request was made under the Arizona Public Records Law § 39.101 et seq., and it emphasizes the preference for receiving the information in an electronic format.

The requested records include comprehensive data on all individuals employed by the university during the specified fiscal year. This encompasses a variety of data fields such as fiscal year, employee name, gender, age or year of birth, date of birth, employer name, title or position, department, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and employment type (full-time or part-time).

The Grand Canyon Times acknowledges that not all data fields may be present in every record but requests that all responsive records be produced regardless. If certain portions of a record are deemed exempt from disclosure, they ask that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form rather than withheld entirely.

As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, the Grand Canyon Times has also requested a fee waiver based on their role in disseminating information to the public. The requestor is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, which aids media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies through FOIA and Sunshine Laws.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
