Gifthealth opens new robotic pharmacy in Mesa bringing up to 200 jobs

Gifthealth, a digital pharmacy platform, has opened a new facility in Mesa, Arizona. The company marked the occasion with a grand opening event on January 8, 2026. This expansion marks Gifthealth’s entry into the Southwest and adds to the region’s growing healthcare sector.

The new 43,000-square-foot pharmacy is expected to create up to 200 skilled jobs in Mesa. The facility will use robotic technology to process up to 28,000 medications per day. Gifthealth is partnering with UPS and will implement RFID scanning and twin packaging technology for faster and more accurate medication delivery nationwide. These automated systems are designed to improve capacity, efficiency, and product quality.

Chip Parkinson, CEO of Gifthealth, said: “This grand opening is a pivotal moment in our mission to simplify and unify the entire patient prescription journey. The Mesa facility significantly enhances our national capacity, allowing us to deliver a fast, reliable, and truly frictionless experience to millions of patients who depend on us for their care.”

Vice Mayor Scott Somers also welcomed the company: “I’m excited to welcome Gifthealth to the rapidly growing business community of southeast Mesa. With up to 200 new jobs and state-of-the-art, robotics-assisted processing, this grand opening is another strong step toward our goal of attracting 100,000 high-wage, high-quality jobs to Mesa.”

Founded in 2020, Gifthealth claims it is the first single partner platform offering Direct to Patient services at scale and has served over six million patients so far. Its services include rapid delivery across much of the United States.

Arizona has seen record job growth through economic development efforts by organizations such as the ACA. In Fiscal Year 2022 alone,the ACA reported working with companies resulting in projections for over 24,000 new jobs, surpassing previous goals.

Gifthealth operates pharmacies nationwide using its Digi+Hub model that combines digital pharmacy speed with flexible hub services.
