“This is dangerous and disgraceful, Sen. Analise Ortiz,” said Taylor Robson. “ICE agents are working tirelessly to deport violent criminals. You are endangering them and protecting criminals by broadcasting their location. Arizona deserves safe communities, not lawlessness.”
In Arizona, Senate President Warren Peterson has recently called for an investigation into Senator Analise Ortiz after she publicly shared ICE agents’ locations online. This move has sparked a debate regarding officer safety and potential legal violations. By late June, individuals without criminal records accounted for 28% of daily arrests, up from 18% in January. This increase reflects a broader national trend in interior enforcement and has raised community concerns about civil liberties.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported an 830% increase in assaults on ICE personnel between January 21 and July 14, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. DHS suggests that heightened threats may be linked to the exposure of agents’ identities and growing tensions over immigration policy.
