Vice President Kamala Harris has moved more than 100,000 Haitian illegal aliens to small towns across the U.S., causing issues in the local communities, a fact which the Arizona GOP has focused on in recent billboard ads.
20,000 Haitian illegal aliens were moved to Springfield, Ohio, a small town just east of Dayton that has grown from 40,000 to nearly 60,000 residents– by one-third, all Haitians.
Locals say the Haitians– who believe in witchcraft and have been accused of eating wild geese and hunting neighborhood pets– aren’t a cultural fit for a small Midwestern town.
But Harris supporters argue they are closed-minded– that Haitians are improving small towns like Springfield by making them “diverse.” Harris believes that importing immigrants into majority white Midwestern communities serves to improve them.
The Arizona GOP ran a recent billboard ad about the issues coming out of Springfield, using “eat more kittens” as a parody slogan. “Democrats and their media allies are having a meltdown over AZGOP’s harmless billboards, the Arizona Republican Party posted on Facebook. “Meanwhile, they stay silent on the REAL outrage: Kamala Harris’s failed border policies that are killing Arizonans.”
What are Harris supporters saying about Haitian immigration to the Midwest?
“I want every white trash Midwest American town to have an influx of Haitians,” X user Gytis Arlauskas posted.
“Springfield Ohio is a miserable white trash town — why its population fell by 33% between 1960 and 2014 — until the city begged foreign investors and immigrants to come save it, which they did; brave Haitians helped turn its economy around only to be treated to lies and threats,” X user Factschaser posted on Sept. 14.
Brent, with user ID OhioBrent on X, said “Springfield is Americas butthole. A run down town of dilapidated abandoned buildings and houses. My dad is from there. I have friends there. It’s a shit hole, full of meth heads and white trash. Haitians are an improvement.”
“I would take 500 Haitians who want to come and make an honest life in this country over one drug addled white trash redneck who thinks that a corrupt racist real estate developer from New York will magically solve his problems any day,” X user FurstvonWrede posted.
“These townsfolk are whiny lazy fentanyl addicts descended from the barely sentient dregs of Europe,” user ARGYLECUJO posted on X. “Haitians are descended from the bravest people who have ever lived. these people should be thankful they’re around.”
