State schools chief Tom Horne will open the Arizona Youth Arts Month Festival at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza on Tuesday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m., according to an announcement from the State of Arizona Department of Education.

The festival, known as YAM Fest, aims to highlight the positive impact of arts education by showcasing the creativity and skill of young artists from across Arizona. The event will feature performances by choirs, orchestras, dance ensembles, percussion groups, and more from students throughout the state. The festival is scheduled to continue through 2:00 p.m.
