Scottsdale travelers will have a new direct route to Mexico as JSX announced on June 3 that it will begin nonstop service between Scottsdale Airport and Cabo San Lucas starting in October 2026.
The new service is expected to enhance access to Los Cabos, which is recognized as a major luxury leisure destination, and further establish Scottsdale Airport as a significant gateway for both business and recreational aviation. Mayor Lisa Borowsky said, “Scottsdale continues to stand out as a premier destination for both business and leisure travel, and this new nonstop service to Cabo San Lucas is another milestone in expanding opportunities for our residents and visitors. Direct international access from Scottsdale Airport strengthens our local economy, supports tourism, and reinforces our city’s position as a global destination.”
JSX said the flights will offer passengers private terminal access, simplified security procedures, and spacious seating aimed at providing comfort and efficiency. Rick Wielebski, aviation director for Scottsdale Airport, said, “We are thrilled to welcome JSX’s new nonstop Cabo service to Scottsdale Airport. This announcement reflects the continued demand for premium, convenient air travel options in our community and reinforces Scottsdale’s position as a world-class destination and aviation hub.”
Flights are planned multiple times each week with schedules, fares, and booking details set for release in the coming months. The route targets Arizona residents interested in luxury leisure travel along with visitors moving between the Southwest United States and Baja California Sur.
Borowsky has supported community service initiatives benefiting children, older adults, and underprivileged youth through board roles; she also served on the City Council from 2008 to 2012 advocating fiscal conservatism; maintained lifelong residency; emphasized resident engagement through updates—all according to the official website.
