U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly chose not to address those who have been approaching fellow Arizonan, U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) in public.

On Oct. 25 Sinema was challenged for the second time this month.

In that incident, as reported by Fox News, Sinema told a voter “don’t touch me” after the person followed her around the airport seeking an audience on her stance regarding the funding vote.

Kelly did not respond to a phone call from Grand Canyon Times.

Sinema has been a focal point as the Democrats continue to hammer out a spending and debt bill. She and U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) are playing outsized parts in the debate given the 50-50 split in the Senate.

Sinema is a throwback to fiscally conservative Democrats and has been been a roadblock in a larger deal based on her refusal to replace a 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed by the Trump administration.

Given her stance, Sinema has been he odd woman out in the Democrat caucus and is facing pressure.
