RoviSys, a provider of automation and information solutions, has opened a new office in Tempe, Arizona. The 9,000-square-foot facility is expected to support up to 100 new jobs over the next several years as part of the company’s North American expansion.
The company offers services to industries such as biotechnology, life sciences, data centers, semiconductors, and energy. The Tempe location aims to help RoviSys better serve these markets with an immediate focus on data centers and long-term plans for growth in life sciences and semiconductor manufacturing.
“We are thrilled to cement our presence in the greater Phoenix Metro area with the opening of our new office in Tempe,” said Josh Houk, Regional Director at RoviSys. “The opportunity to celebrate this opening with our customers and partners in the area is a testament to the strong regional bonds our team has been able to create in a short time. I look forward to continuing to strengthen these relationships, forging new connections, and creating a positive impact in the local business community and throughout the Southwest.”
The Greater Phoenix area has seen significant growth as a technology and manufacturing hub. According to industry data, energy consumption by data centers in Greater Phoenix more than doubled from 2023 to 2024. The region now ranks third nationally for such activity as hyperscale providers and co-location companies invest heavily locally.
Other sectors such as biotechnology, life sciences, and semiconductor manufacturing are also expanding rapidly—areas where RoviSys intends further involvement through its local presence.
“RoviSys’ expansion in Tempe reinforces Arizona’s position as a premier destination for technology and advanced manufacturing,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We’re proud to welcome RoviSys’ new office, which will support continued innovation and job creation across key industries including AI, life sciences, semiconductors and more.”
Christine Mackay, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council added: “RoviSys’ commitment to Tempe illustrates the region’s strengths of diverse opportunities at the intersection of office and industrial activity. These market sectors mutually build upon each other to foster holistic growth, bolstering the momentum of advanced industries calling Greater Phoenix home.”
Tempe Mayor Corey Woods commented: “RoviSys’ decision to invest in Tempe showcases the strength of our city’s innovation economy and the exceptional talent pipeline that fuels it. RoviSys’ significant capital investment and the plan to create up to 100 new, high-quality jobs demonstrate the continued momentum of Tempe’s advanced technology and engineering sectors. We are proud to welcome the RoviSys team and pleased to support their growth as they contribute to Tempe’s position as a premier location for tech investment.”
Founded in 1989 with locations across North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe—and employing about 2,000 people—RoviSys specializes in systems integration for various global industries.
Arizona has recently experienced record-setting economic development efforts led by organizations like the Arizona Commerce Authority. In Fiscal Year 2022 alone there were projections for over 24,000 new jobs created statewide due largely to collaborative work between state agencies and private sector companies.
