The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce announced on Apr. 23 that it will host a Friday Forum event titled “The Confidence Edit” on May 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event aims to help attendees build confidence and identity for an enhanced professional image, focusing on the importance of personal presentation and practical hair care tips. According to the announcement, “Our event will bring value to the attendees by building confidence and identity within individuals for an enhanced professional image. Often times, we don’t use simple things that are a part of us (like our hair) to represent us when it’s so easy! Your hair is half of your selfie, it’s half of your zoom call with your boss, it is centered around your complete first impression. If your hair can be half of your first impression, the confidence that it builds within you to stand tall and make a statement can be the other half.” The forum will include guidance on styling techniques, trending looks that project confidence, advice on proper hair washing methods, strategies for protecting hair health, and ways to foster self-assurance in oneself and others.

This initiative reflects the chamber’s ongoing support for community growth by promoting economic development and aiding local businesses through education and advocacy according to the official website. The organization extends its services throughout Scottsdale and collaborates with entities such as Arizona State University as well as partners in the East Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance according to the official website.

As stated by its official site, the chamber promotes prosperity by advocating for businesses, providing access to leaders in various sectors, driving economic development efforts across Scottsdale’s business landscape, fostering connectivity among members through events like this forum, and offering ongoing business education opportunities according to the official website. Advocacy remains central; policies advancing business interests are pursued with assistance from groups like its Public Policy Advisory Committee according to the official website.

Established in 1947, the chamber continues supporting area businesses via networking events such as this upcoming forum while collaborating with local leaders for policy advancements designed to benefit Scottsdale’s economic environment according to the official website.
