Tempe home prices rise in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Tempe rose by $27,000 while total sales increased by 16.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were 186 homes sold, with a median sale price of $277,000 - a 10.8% increase over the $250,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 160 homes sold in Tempe in December 2016.

The median sales tax in Tempe for 2017 was $1,774. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,769. This marks an increase of 0.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.6%.
