Carefree home prices unchanged in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Carefree was unchanged while total sales increased by 19%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 75 homes sold, with a median sale price of $600,000. There were 63 homes sold in Carefree in the second half of 2016, and the median sales price for the period was also $600,000.

The median sales tax in Carefree for 2017 was $2,602. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,599. This marks an increase of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
