School of Architecture at Taliesin recently issued the following announcement.
Event Name: THE TALIESIN FORUM 2019-20 LECTURE SERIES: LARS LERUP
Lars Lerup is the Harry K. and Albert K. Smith Professor of Architecture Emeritus and the Dean Emeritus at Rice School of Architecture (Texas) and Professor Emeritus of the University of California at Berkeley. Lerup holds a teaching and research appointment at Humboldt University’s Hermann von Helmholtz Center for Cultural Techniques in Berlin.
Recently Lerup had an exhibit of objects and drawings called Parque Movil at Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain. He is currently a Visiting Professor at University of Miami’s School of Architecture.
Awards include: Doctor Honoris Causa in Technology by Lund University, Sweden –2001, and the Harold W Brunner Rome Prize Fellow, the American Academy in Rome – 2009-2010
Publications: The Continuous City 2017, One Million Acres and No Zoning 2010, After the City 2000 (also published in Italian 2016 by LIST Lab), Planned Assaults 1987 (also published in Chinese), Building the Unfinished: Architecture and Human Action 1977 (also published in German by Vieweg), and Villa Prima Facie 1976.
