Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences issued the following announcement on Nov. 11
Did you know that Dr. Howell served in the United States Navy for six years? She worked as an electronics technician and was honorably discharged at the rank of First Class Petty Officer. Her passion for service soon shifted to helping little ones heal, and after receiving her medical degree and completing a pediatric residency, she was awarded Resident of the Year by the medical students. She had a successful pediatric practice for twelve years, and served as Chief of Pediatrics at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Texas from 1998 to 2000, while also leading AIDS awareness seminars at the community’s junior and senior high schools. In 2003, she came to SCNM with her husband, who is a practicing naturopathic physician. Thank you for your many years of service, Dr. Howell!
