Oregon evened the weekend series with an 11-3, five-inning victory over Arizona in front of 2,807 fans on Friday evening at Hillenbrand Stadium.
The teams traded home runs early, with Oregon (25-12, 5-9 Pac-12) hitting two-run homers in each of the first two innings, answered by a first-inning solo homer from Sharlize Palacios and a two-run shot from Sophia Carroll in the bottom of the second.
It was all Oregon the rest of the way, though. The Ducks plated two runs in the third and then hit three homers in a five-run fifth.
Arizona (22-15, 3-11 Pac-12) managed two hits -- both homers -- off Oregon pitcher Stevie Hansen, who improved to 9-4 on the season. Oregon plated its 11 runs on 10 hits off of a trio of Wildcat pitchers.
The rubber match is Saturday at noon on the Pac-12 Networks.
