Thanks in large part to two impressive sets, Arizona Christian cruised against Pacific Union on Thursday evening.  The Firestorm cranked out a program best .398 hitting as a team for the match.

Inside the Box Score

  • The Firestorm went first serve to final block with the lead in the first set
  • McGee went 4-5 without an error and Mayfield went 3-3 no error in the first set
  • ACU hit .650 as a team in the first set
  • Set two saw the first 14 points result in a 7-7 tie
  • Kills from Beck and McGee sandwiched around a PUC attack gave ACU the lead for good in the set
  • Points 1-12 resulted in six ties to begin the third set
  • PUC grabbed the next two points and held the lead to the end of the set
