The Club for Growth Foundation announced that Sen. Shawnna Bolick (R-Phoenix) has been named to the organization’s 2024 Fellowship class.
“The Club for Growth Foundation is proud to welcome such a talented and diverse group of individuals into our 2024 Fellowship class,” said Club for Growth Foundation President David McIntosh in a press release. “Through their civic leadership, these conservative champions have proven they are committed to advancing and protecting the individual freedoms that define what it means to be an American.”
“They will be welcomed additions in the Foundation’s efforts to educate and engage the public on the importance of free people, free markets, and constitutional order that have preserved our hard-earned liberties. We cannot wait to watch them thrive,” said McIntosh.
Bolick joins 49 other fellows from 23 separate states.
Throughout the year, fellows will participate in seminars to “expand their understanding of free-market and limited government principles, how these principles lead to economic prosperity, and how to effectively amplify this message within their communities,” said a Club for Growth press release.
Bolick has represented Arizona’s 2nd State Senate District since August 2023, when she was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Advisors to fill the seat vacated by retiring State Sen. Steve Kaiser (R-Phoenix).
She previously represented District 20 in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. Bolick also served on the Arizona State Board of Education’s Academic Standards Development Committee and was appointed to Arizona’s Early Childhood Education and Health Board by former Gov. Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.)
Bolick attended Syracuse University and received a master’s degree from American University.
A native of Pittsburgh, Penn., Bolick lives in Phoenix with her husband and their two children.
