Senator Wadsack mourns passing of longtime Marana Mayor Ed Honea

Senator Justine Wadsack has expressed her condolences following the passing of Ed Honea, who served as the Mayor of Marana for many years. In a statement, Senator Wadsack described Honea as both a friend and mentor, emphasizing his dedication to public service and leadership in Pima County.

"I am truly heartbroken by the loss of a dear friend and mentor," stated Senator Wadsack. She praised Honea's commitment to listening and caring for the community, highlighting his role as a significant figure in Marana. "Ed was a true public servant and a tremendous leader whose impact on Pima County is incalculable," she added.

Reflecting on her experiences working with him, Senator Wadsack noted, "I'm honored to have known him and to have had the opportunity to work with him. He was truly a pillar in our community." She extended her sympathies to Honea's family, friends, and the residents of Marana during this difficult time.
