AGPAC of the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation issued the following announcement on Oct. 21
The Arizona Young Farmers and Ranchers Annual Meeting will take place November 15, 2019 at the Ass Kickin’ Hot Sauce Facility 700 N. Bullard Ave. in Goodyear. The event will begin at 11a.m. and run through the mid-afternoon.
YF&R Members will hear from Scott Bennett, American Farm Bureau Federation, on Cell Based Protein, Justin Layton, a Graham County cotton farmer, to give insight on the Gila River Alliance, and Dr. Bindu Proudel, Arizona Cooperative Extension, to discuss the newest crop to the Arizona desert climate, Hemp Production. Enjoy lunch, networking, and a couple industry tours of Arizona agriculture, as well.
Jonathan Link, The University of Arizona’s YF&R Chair, said why he believes new YF&R members benefit from attending the state annual meeting. “YF&R members are able to interact and get to know other young farmers and ranchers from around the state,” Link said. “We are also able to reach out and talk to Farm Bureau members about potential job and internship opportunities.”
