Following his rallies in Prescott and Tucson earlier this week, President Donald Trump recently departed from Arizona at the Phoenix International Airport.
Regarding his visit to Tucson, Trump called it a "great stop," with an "impressive crowd."
"We're doing very well in Arizona," said Trump according to Oct. 19 interview transcripts from the White House.
Trump said he doesn't think his fate in the election next month is tied with the reelection of Arizona's U.S. Sen. Martha McSally (R-Tucson), and that he and the senator are "very separated, but we support each other fully."
Trump said that there are some good races in the Senate this year.
"I’m hearing that John James is doing very well, as an example. I think we have some very good ones. We have some very close ones. And I think I’m doing very well," he said.
The president said that he feels great after a week of campaigning.
"We’ve had no small crowd, whether it’s in Pennsylvania or anyplace else. Every single place has been like this, and I think there’s not a person out of all of those thousands and thousands of people that won’t be voting and won’t be voting for me," Trump said.
Emotionally, Trump said he feels he is running with anger, happiness and content, because he's done a great job.
"And I think that’s the reason you have such crowds like this [at Prescott and Tucson]," said the president in the transcripts, who feels people have loved the job he's done. "You could go back into politics 200 years and there’s never been a politician that’s drawn crowds like this. I don’t care who it is, and I don’t care who you use and when you talk about it."
Trump said it's unfair that Former Vice President Joe Biden is not being covered as a corrupt politician by the media. When asked if the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) should be investigating Hunter Biden, Trump said that "he doesn't know if they are or not, but they should be."
"But certainly, the FBI should be investigating it because, on its face, he’s guilty as can be. There is not even a question about it. On its face, he shouldn’t be allowed to run. So we’ll see how it goes," Trump said.
As far as voters who don't attend Trump's rallies or watch Fox News, Trump said he is winning them over by being successful, including the stock market being almost at an all-time high in the midst of a pandemic. He said he built the strong foundation for the stock market that supported it through COVID-19.
Trump cited a Gallup poll that said 56% of Americans are happier now than during the Obama-Biden administration.
"So I'm really very happy. I’m very happy with the way it’s going," Trump said. "I don’t think it’s being covered fairly. I don’t think you’re showing the kind of enthusiasm. I don’t think you’re showing the crowds and the crowd size. You did, in the Washington Times. I appreciate that. But, for the most part, they’re not."
