American Majority Action (AMA) announced it has surpassed 3.25 million voter contacts in Arizona, including over 600,000 live conversations, as part of its push to increase conservative early voter turnout in the state.

AMA's efforts leading up to the election were focused on driving absentee voting among voters, both through mail-in ballots and in-person voting, according to a press release.

'We focused our Arizona efforts on generating more absentee ballots and changing the voting behavior of low propensity conservative voters," Tracy DuCharme, Arizona Executive Director for AMA, said. "We have been working with our partners to get more conservatives to vote absentee, whether through the mail or in person. We are having face-to- face conversations with voters at the doors, and through their phones with live calls and personal text messages."

Tracy DuCharme, Arizona Executive Director for AMA, explained that the group's strategy focused on engaging low-propensity conservative voters through direct, personal contact. “We’ve worked with partners to increase absentee voting by engaging voters through face-to-face conversations, live calls, and text messages,” DuCharme said.

As a result of these efforts, 68.98% of conservatives who requested absentee ballots have returned them, AMA reported. The organization has made nearly 3 million live contacts with voters via phone, door-to-door outreach, and text messages. DuCharme noted that while voters are often overwhelmed by mass media messaging, personal conversations have proven effective in motivating them to vote.

“Our face-to-face efforts have proven to be the most impactful form of voter engagement, significantly improving turnout,” DuCharme said.

Founded in 2008, American Majority Action focuses on training and organizing activists to engage in voter education, mobilization efforts, and advocacy.
