U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar said mainstream media is playing a game of “hide the ball” with facts regarding votes cast in the state.

In Gosar’s sights is Bloomberg Government, which released a report “Arizona election departments confirm Sharpies can be used on ballots.”

Many in areas that favor Trump have complained that their votes were not registered after they voted with a Sharpie.

”This is propaganda and misleading,” Gosar tweeted. “The issue is that hundreds of people who voted with Sharpies have checked online and their votes were not counted. There may be an issue with the machines reading the Sharpie. Authorization to use is not the issue and is misleading.”

A voter in Sun Lake, Gary Sheffield Jr., reported he was puzzled at how a Scantron machine would be able to read his ballot.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich sent a letter to the Maricopa County Elections Department requesting information about which voting locations were provided Sharpies, to what extent were the markers used, how many ballots were rejected and whether the ballot tabulation machines that were used were programmed to reject over-voted ballots.
