American Majority will host a free training event on Monday, August 21 in Gilbert, Ariz, entitled "Building a Machine to Win Elections."

The event is designed to inform citizens of the most up-to-date laws on absentee and early vote ballots, the organization said in an announcement at its website.

The event will teach how to "play by the rules as they stand now" and empower citizens to become part of a winning grassroots political apparatus. American Majority is the nation's premier conservative training organization, its website says. The organization activates and trains grassroots conservative leaders nationwide on the belief that "lasting political change starts not in Washington but at state and local levels, where most actual government decisions and spending occur," the website says.

"The Left has perfected using the new election laws to their advantage to harvest ballots for their candidates, while the Right is still trying to persuade people to vote for them on Election Day,” the registration page for the event says.

American Majority's training is aimed at helping conservatives understand the mechanics of the new laws and how to work within the law to win elections. "We may not like these new rules, but we’ll never be able to change them if we don’t win elections first," the page says.

Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed several election-related bills in April, two of which would have affected early voting, a report from KTAR News said. The first, HB2415, would've removed voters from the Active Early Voting List if they failed to vote in an election cycle. Voters on the AEVL automatically receive ballots for every election.

The second, HB2322, was aimed at regulating the signature verification process for early ballots. The bill received bipartisan support in the House, as 16 Democrats joined the Republicans in voting for the measure, the KTAR report said.

Hobbs' veto of HB2322 leaves Arizona with no codified laws regarding signature verification for early ballots, a previous news report from the Grand Canyon Times said. The report said the standards in HB2322 were developed by Hobbs when she was Arizona's Secretary of State.

With Hobbs' veto of her own signature verification standards, conservatives "must win the game to change the rules," American Majority said. Attendees of the event will learn how they can help create an "absentee ballot machine to combat the Left at their own game" to win elections and effect change in their government.
