The founder of American Majority Action Arizona government offices are informing individuals that they can still vote a "federal-only" ballot if they don't provide proof of U.S. citizenship.

"I will run this out, again," Ryun said in a post on X. "A form from Arizona’s AHCCCS (Medicaid office) very explicitly telling folks that if their citizenship status cannot be confirmed, no worries. We’ll make sure to send you a “federal-only” ballot. . ."

X owner Elon Musk commented on Ryun's post, saying "Arizona requires proof of citizenship to vote in state elections, but explicitly does not for federal elections. This is messed up."

The form from the Arizona AHCCCS office details that proof of citizenship is required by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before election day in order to vote "a full ballot" which includes "all federal, state, county, and local races and ballot questions for which you are eligible to vote."

If an individual does not submit proof of citizenship but is registered to vote, they will "receive a 'federal-only' ballot, which has only federal races and no state, count, or local races or initiatives/referendums."

Founded in 2008, American Majority Action focuses on training and organizing activists to engage in voter education, mobilization efforts, and advocacy.

Ryun is a former writer for President George W. Bush. Before founding American Majority Action he created Generation Joshua, a civics education program. He also writes weekly opinion pieces for American Greatness, and was previously appointed to the 1776 Commission by President Donald Trump. Ryun lives with his wife and four children in Virginia.
