Catholic Vote announced the launch of a grassroots campaign in seven battleground states, including Arizona, that includes 4,500 volunteers activating Catholic voters at the parish level.
“As an Arizona Republican Precinct Committeeman, I am very honored to be working with CatholicVote,” said Fillis Cardieri, parishioner at Saint Rita in the Desert in Vail, Ariz. “With Catholic Vote, I am contacting Faithful Catholics to motivate and encourage them to vote and voice their Catholic beliefs in the public square on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.”
“Catholics are a large voting block, and we need to be represented in our local and federal governments against the anti-Christians who have infiltrated them,” said Cardieri.
Catholic Vote’s national field director, Joe Cantwell said that the organization has regional field directors in each state who are engaging with parishioners like Cardieri in the “largest Catholic grassroots mobilization campaign in history.”
"CatholicVote is working hard here at our HQ to get half a million postcards shipped out to the battleground states in the elections.” Cantwell told Grand Canyon Times. “These postcards will be delivered to the homes of Catholic and Conservative modeled voters, many of whom didn't vote in 2020. Through our efforts here we hope to see every Catholic make their voice heard in this crucial election."
The group has endorsed Donald Trump for President with CatholicVote’s president Brian Burch saying Trump is "someone who knows the truth and is willing to fight for it — not simply someone who will calculate the path of least resistance to accomplish some good on the margins."
The seven battleground states include Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida.
