Ahead of Governor Katie Hobbs’ State of the State address, NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich emphasized key priorities for small businesses in Arizona's legislative session. These priorities include tax reform, regulatory changes, and tort reform.

Heinrich highlighted the significant role small businesses play in Arizona's economy: “Despite serious economic challenges, small businesses created nearly 77 percent of all net new jobs in Arizona between 2022 and 2023. Ensuring our state remains a small business state requires lawmakers to understand the unique challenges small employers face. From simplifying our tax code, cutting regulatory red-tape, and promoting a balanced civil justice system, NFIB will continue to advocate on behalf of our Main Street businesses.”

NFIB encourages its members to stay informed about legislation that could affect their operations by using the NFIB Engage App. The app provides action alerts on relevant legislation, opportunities to contact lawmakers, invitations to events and webinars, and updates on NFIB’s activities at both state and national levels.
