Governor Katie Hobbs has launched ConnectAllAZ, an initiative in Arizona aimed at ensuring universal access to high-speed internet across the state. This initiative combines Arizona's various broadband expansion endeavors, including the notable $993 million investment in the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program. ConnectAllAZ seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of broadband availability in Arizona.

The initiative's website, ConnectAllAZ.com, serves as a platform to inform Arizona residents about state broadband programs, community engagement opportunities, and available resources. It also introduces a new Arizona State Broadband Map, which highlights unserved and underserved areas and details internet access statewide. This resource will assist efforts by state, local, and federal entities to address gaps and foster new connections.

"All Arizonans, no matter where they live, should have the tools they need to thrive. Through ConnectAllAZ, we are bringing affordable, reliable broadband to every community in our state."

“Today’s announcement represents an exciting milestone that furthers Arizona’s efforts to expand high-speed broadband statewide,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We are grateful to Governor Hobbs for her leadership on ConnectAllAZ, which will increase economic opportunity for Arizonans, especially in rural and Tribal communities. Thank you also to all of our community, state, and federal partners for their continued support to expand broadband access.”

The primary goal of ConnectAllAZ is to provide universal broadband access by 2030, as well as to equip diverse communities with the skills and technology needed to fully leverage the digital economy. The initiative includes the Arizona Broadband Development Grant Program, which dedicates $100 million to broadband infrastructure projects in unserved and underserved areas of the state, impacting thousands of homes and businesses.

Another component, the Arizona Statewide Broadband Middle-Mile Program, is a public-private partnership aimed at enhancing access by improving the middle portion of broadband networks. The plan focuses on developing infrastructure, known as "Broadband Corridors," along Interstates 17, 19, and 40 in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Transportation. These corridors involve fiber optic conduit installations to support last-mile broadband initiatives.

Earlier, Governor Hobbs participated in a groundbreaking event with eX2 Technology in Navajo County for over 100 miles of dark fiber middle-mile network infrastructure to expand broadband access.
