Eternity Technologies Inc., a global leader in the industrial battery market, has selected Phoenix, Arizona, as the site for its new North American headquarters and battery manufacturing facility. This decision marks a significant investment aimed at supporting growth in Motive Power and Reserve Power applications while focusing on sustainable innovation.

The company's decision followed an extensive selection process. Eternity Technologies collaborated with the Arizona Commerce Authority and local partners before finalizing the choice. Phoenix’s rapidly growing economy, favorable business climate, strategic location near Western U.S. markets, and skilled workforce were influential factors. Additionally, the planned BNSF intermodal terminal will enhance the city’s logistics.

John Semeniuk, President of Eternity Technologies North America, stated, “The Phoenix facility will be one of the first outside our UAE flagship factory to implement our state-of-the-art fill and formation system for the new QUASAR VRLA product series.” This expansion aims to advance maintenance-free battery technologies and sustainable manufacturing.

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, welcomed the facility to Arizona, saying, “This new facility showcases Arizona’s attractiveness as a premier destination for cutting-edge technologies while expanding our rapidly-growing battery ecosystem.”

With an investment of about $20 million, the new facility in Deer Valley Business Park will employ advanced manufacturing technology for high-performance batteries. Targeted applications include industrial traction uses such as forklifts, power jacks, and materials-handling equipment, along with Reserve Power solutions for renewable energy, battery backup systems, solar streetlights, and emergency lighting.

When operational later this year, the Phoenix plant will employ approximately 50 skilled professionals and utilize an advanced battery formation system. This facility aligns with Eternity Technologies’ mission to advance technology, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship while minimizing its carbon footprint.
