Nestlé USA has unveiled its new beverage factory and distribution center in Glendale, Arizona, marking a substantial investment in the region. The facility will primarily produce creamers for popular brands such as Coffee mate, natural bliss, and Starbucks, with potential for future expansion into additional beverages.
Daniel Jhung, President of Coffee & Beverage for Nestlé USA, noted the increasing demand for coffee customization: “Coffee culture is booming across the U.S. as consumers seek more options for customization and experimentation when it comes to their coffee at home.”
The introduction of this facility represents Nestlé USA's 20th food and beverage factory and is part of a broader $3 billion investment aimed at enhancing U.S. manufacturing capabilities.
In line with its sustainability goals, the Glendale plant is designed to recycle and repurpose up to 75% of its treated processed water. It operates with zero waste to landfill and uses renewable electricity, emphasizing Nestlé’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.
The opening has brought 300 new jobs to Glendale, strengthening the local economy. Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, said, “We’re proud to celebrate Nestlé’s continued commitment to Arizona with the opening of its Glendale manufacturing facility.”
Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers highlighted the impact of Nestlé’s arrival: “Nestlé’s presence will have a lasting and positive impact to pave the way for our city’s vibrant future.”
Aligning with its community engagement efforts, Nestlé is donating $100,000 to St. Mary’s Food Bank, equating to 500,000 meals for those in need. Additionally, the company is fostering local talent through education initiatives.
