Retired elementary school teacher Margaret “Mary” Kathleen Spangenberg is accused of threatening the life of Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

“I think it’s totally ok for me to come with my gun and shoot you in the head,” Spangenberg reportedly said in a phone message left for Gosar.

Caller ID reportedly revealed the caller to be Spangenberg.

“[W]e’ll make sure we’ll send lots of protesters your way too,” Spangenberg said.

Spangenberg is featured in a video with her first grade class at Cartwright Elementary School in Phoenix. 

It is unclear if the retiree has been part of the street riots that have borne out in Phoenix and Tempe in the past months.

Gosar is an outspoken supporter of President Trump who Spangenberg called a “murderer.”

“THANK YOU to the law enforcement officials for responding & helping to keep my office safe. I salute you,” said in a tweet regarding the incident.

While it appears Spangenberg was likely never really a threat, the incident comes only a few years after a left wing terrorist shot and grievously wounded Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) at practice for a non-partisan baseball game.

While Mark Kelly, Gosar’s Democrat challenger, condemned the threat in a tweet, Democrats more broadly in Arizona have failed to publicly denounce Spangenberg as well as other violent rhetoric and actions carried out by far left “revolutionaries.”

Gosar’s district covers  all of La Paz County large portions of Mohave, Yavapai, Yuma counties and smaller areas of Gila, Maricopa and Pinal counties.

And we’ll make sure we’ll send lots of protesters your way too.
