Kayleigh Kozak has been appointed as the Family First Campaign Director at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). She will lead efforts to strengthen protections for victims and empower families nationwide, according to her AFPI profile. Kozak is best known for her work on "Kayleigh’s Law" and has spent the last four years advocating for policy reforms that enhance legal protections for survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. Her advocacy has led to the passage of multiple bipartisan bills and a landmark ballot initiative securing natural life sentences for those convicted of sex trafficking minors.

"I am honored to step into the role of Family First Campaign Director at the America First Policy Institute," said Kozak. "This position represents an incredible opportunity to lead efforts that place American families at the heart of , driving meaningful change where it matters most."

In November 2024, Arizona voters approved Proposition 313, a ballot measure mandating life in prison without parole for individuals convicted of child sex trafficking, according to previous reporting by Grand Canyon Times. The measure passed with a 62% majority, strengthening penalties by replacing previous sentencing guidelines that allowed for shorter prison terms. The initiative was championed by Kozak, a survivor of child sex abuse and a prominent advocate for victims’ rights.

"With the passing of Prop 313, Arizona stands at the forefront of a national movement to protect our children from the horrors of child sex trafficking," Kozak told Grand Canyon Times in November. "This historic measure sends a powerful message: there will be no leniency for those who exploit our most vulnerable." She continued, "It’s time for us to stand united and ensure that any individual who dares to buy or sell a child for sex faces the certainty of a natural life sentence with no possibility of parole. I will continue to unapologetically fight for the protection of our children and victims of these heinous crimes. Together, we have and will continue to make it unequivocally clear—our children are NOT for sale!"

Beyond her legislative efforts, Kozak is a wife and mother of five, balancing family life with her commitment to public service, according to Biographies Are Us. She has expanded her advocacy to include public speaking and influencing policy across multiple states, aiming to implement similar protective measures nationwide. In addition to her advocacy work, she has ventured into entrepreneurship with initiatives like "1412 Clothing Co." and the "Because You Still Matter" lipstick line, further promoting awareness and support for survivors.
