Voters encouraged to check the status of their ballots after irregularities, concerns reported

Sharpie

Voters in Arizona are being encouraged to check the status of their ballots at the Secretary of State’s website to ensure they were not disenfranchised.

The move comes amid reports of stolen ballots and ballots possibly being challenged.

Of particular concern to some is marker bleed-through on ballots.

While the state attorney general’s office said bleed-through like that expected in Maricopa County is acceptable, it is possible bleed-through could cause a ballot to be flagged.

Voters who may be concerned with voter disenfranchisement are encouraged to check the status their vote at the Arizona Secretary of State’s website.

“If your ballot was tossed, we need to determine why,” one commentator said on Twitter.

Also of concern are stolen mail-in ballots.

On Election Day, stolen ballots were located in Glendale. The ballots were apparently taken from mailboxes in the area.

In that case, Glendale Police said more ballots may have been stolen and not located.

It is possible that other ballots were filled out by those responsible and sent in.
