Want to know what was happening where you live a hundred years ago? Using headlines, editorials, advertisements, and photojournalism, Sativa Peterson of the State of Arizona Research Library will give a free, interactive presentation introducing attendees to Arizona’s historical newspapers.
Look at old headlines to gain fresh perspective on news and events of today and discover how you can use historical newspapers to delve into your own community or family history. Revealing History will focus on the over 120 Arizona newspaper titles that have been digitized and are text searchable on the Arizona Memory Project. This presentation is made possible by the Arizona Humanities.
