Trump speaks at Masters election integrity event

The Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat in Arizona remains one of the few key races left in the country where President Trump has not yet made an endorsement. But if his recent words and actions are any indication, there is one candidate who has done more to fight for the America First agenda in this field than anyone else.

More than any of his competitors, Blake Masters has been unapologetic in calling out voter fraud as it occurred in 2020, particularly in Arizona.

In April, Masters hosted a campaign event in Chandler featuring over 100 attendees. Eventually, Trump called into the event from Mar-a-Lago to speak to those in attendance, where he singled out Masters for praise.

“I just want to thank you all, you’re an incredible group,” the popular former president said. “I heard Blake was the person that showed up and I want to thank Blake.”

Trump also wasted no time in calling out Attorney General Mark Brnovich, also a candidate for the Senate seat, for failing his duties as AG by not fighting against voter fraud in Maricopa County and elsewhere in the state. Having previously labeled Brnovich as “lackluster,” the former president said that Brnovich “found all sorts of things, but he didn’t want to do anything about it.”

Earlier in the month of April, Trump issued a formal statement denouncing Brnovich’s lack of action on voter fraud.

“Attorney General Brnovich of Arizona was given massive information on the fraud and so-called ‘irregularities’ that took place in the 2020 presidential election,” Trump said.

“Many people said that he would do nothing about it because that just seems to be the way he is. He wants to be politically correct. Because of the amount of time that it took him to do the report, which was endless, his poll numbers have been rapidly sinking.”

And Trump is right; it should be no wonder that Brnovich has lost his frontrunner status in the primary. After largely betting on his statewide name recognition to carry him over the finish line, Brnovich’s record has been brought into the spotlight more than ever before, and the results speak for themselves.

He is now struggling as Masters is on the rise, proving that Brnovich’s once-steady lead was always fallible. This is also not the first time Trump has shown some support for Masters, having previously attended a fundraiser for Masters at Mar-a-Lago in November. There could not be a more perfect contrast between Masters’ bold promises on election integrity, and Brnovich’s absolute failure to stop voter fraud despite being in a position to actually do something about it.

Instead, Brnovich repeatedly insisted that there was no fraud and that President Joe Biden won legitimately, joining Gov. Doug Ducey and Secretary of State Katie Hobbs in certifying the electoral results.

Arizona deserves a nominee for the Senate who is not only aware of the problem, but is prepared to actually use the office to fight said problem in any way he can.
