Kari Lake announced endorsements for her Senate campaign from three major police associations in Arizona, representing thousands of law enforcement personnel. She also received backing from Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb and former Border Patrol Union President Brandon Judd.
According to a press release by Kari Lake for Senate, the three police associations endorsing Lake are the Arizona Law Enforcement Association (AZLEA), the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS), and the Phoenix Police Sergeants and Lieutenants Association (PPSLA).
"I am honored to have the support of the AZLEA, AZCOPS and PPSLA and the thousands of rank & file law enforcement personnel in their associations and beyond that are supporting our campaign," said Lake. "As Arizona’s next U.S. Senator, I will always support the men & women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our families and keep our communities safe. For their endorsement, and more importantly for their courage & commitment to our state, thank you!"
AZLEA began in 2012 as the Copper Corridor Police Association and expanded in 2014 with the addition of the Prescott Police Association, forming the Northern Arizona Police Association (NALEA). Over time, AZLEA has grown by focusing on transparency and strong member representation, now representing law enforcement personnel from 33 agencies across Arizona, including sworn, detention, and civilian staff in various legal matters.
According to AZCOPS, it advocates for fair compensation, benefits, and collective bargaining rights for Arizona's public safety employees, both sworn and civilian. Through political engagement and legal support, AZCOPS works to ensure that public safety professionals are protected and supported in their roles.
PPSLA works on negotiating for supervisors, offering legal support, and engaging in political advocacy. It also supports members with resources and promotes training and professional development.
