Senate President Warren Petersen is preparing for a series of meetings with officials from President Donald J. Trump's administration in Washington D.C. next week. The discussions will focus on significant issues affecting Arizona that require federal attention.

During the visit, Petersen plans to meet with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin. Their conversation will cover topics such as gas prices in Arizona, water security, and air quality concerns. Another scheduled meeting is with U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to address litigation involving the Arizona Legislature and challenges related to illegal immigration impacting local law enforcement and communities.

"President Trump is leading Arizona and the country into a golden era of safety and prosperity," stated Petersen. "I'm looking forward to seeing the President and meeting with some of his cabinet to discuss substantive issues and solutions for the state of Arizona." He added, "His dedication to delivering a commonsense agenda means that we can finally eliminate some of the onerous regulations and policies that have strangled our progress and undermined public safety."
