Scottsdale home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Scottsdale rose by $20,000 while total sales increased by 7.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 7,157 homes sold, with a median sale price of $400,000 - a 5.3% increase over the $380,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 6,643 homes sold in Scottsdale in 2016.

The median sales tax in Scottsdale for 2017 was $2,228. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,190. This marks an increase of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.6%.
